April Anniversaries

Kingdom Kids
Throughout the last month, we finished working through the first Creation. We came across some very interesting truths from the Bible: Dinosaurs, Dragons, and the age of The Earth. Here are four weeks in a
nutshell! If you are interested in learning more, I Invite you to come and learn alongside our kids!
1. Job 40: God speaks of a land animal called a Behemoth, which he created alongside Adam and Eve. One of the characteristics that stand out in this chapter Is that a Behemoth’s tail sways like a cedar tree (if you read through it’s hard to Imagine that the Behemoth is anything but what we know to be a dinosaur).
2. Job 41: God talks about a sea creature called a Leviathan. One of the
characteristics that stand out in this chapter is that a Leviathan has flames
that stream from its mouth (if you read through this chapter, it’s hard to
imagine that the Leviathan is anything but what we know to be a dragon).
3. Genesis 5 and 11: We spent a whole lesson walking through the genealogy of Adam through Abraham. Admittedly, these have been
among the hardest chapters to read in the Bible (name after name). And yet, when we put pen to paper, we learned that from Adam to Abraham is
2000 years! Bible scholars say it was about 2000 years from Abraham to Jesus. And we know (because it is 2026) that it has been about 2000 years since the birth of Jesus. That means the Earth is about 6000 years old!
Our final lesson on creation emphasized that God gave man dominion over all creatures. That means we have authority over all of creation (we
are the only thing God made in his image). Dominion isn’t about power alone; it is about our responsibility to Care for God’s creation. God calls us
to be good stewards of all of His creation. stewardship is not about
ownership; in fact, it is about caring for something we don’t own. Furthermore, it is important that we worship the Creator, not the
creation—so we Shouldn’t thank the tree for shade; instead, we should thank God for the tree that provided shade.
In the coming weeks, we will explore some of the other 6 C’s of History, starting with corruption.
Upcoming Schedule:
3/25: Craft
4/8: Lesson
4/15: Lesson
4/22: Lesson
4/29: Lesson
05/6: Lesson & Craft
I might keep this reminder here...
The only thing we have a chance of bringing into heaven is our
children.
We, as parents and as members of our church, are the stewards
responsible for helping Them nurture a relationship with God and lead a
life of faith, love, and kindness.
Blessings, Ashley
