About Us:
“We seek to be a place of peace, love, and welcome. American Lutheran Church is not just a church building: we minister to the community of Stanley and our surrounding areas modeling Christ-like love.
Our doors are open nearly every day of the week. On Sunday, we worship and celebrate Holy Communion. In serving the community, we welcome several groups with the usage of the church building: Boy Scouts, blood drives, AA, and others.

Our youth activities consist of a vibrant program in Wednesday School, open inter-denominationally to all kids grades pre-K through 6th during the school year. Starting in 7th grade, students enter into Confirmation classes where we instruct them on the Catechism, Bible, and Christian life.
We offer men’s and women’s bible studies throughout the year. Our men’s group in the Lutheran Brotherhood gathers annually in preparing the traditional Lutefisk Dinner, held the first Sunday in November.

Our women’s group, Women of the American Lutheran Church, or WALC, “walks” in faith through several missions and events, including quilting during the school year on Mondays, and an annual fall festival.
As a member of the North American Lutheran Church, we share goals with our larger church body for the local area. These are four-fold:

1. Mission driven
2. Christ-centered
3. Traditionally grounded
4. Congregationally focused
